OLIVE MARJORIE HUSSEY

Passed peacefully away Dec. 8, 2024, Olive  Marjorie Hussey at the Miller Centre in St. John’s NL at the age of 96 years. Olive was born in Whitbourne, NL on July 22, 1928 to Caroline and William Kennedy. She is pre-deceased by her husband of 51 years, Robie Hussey. Olive leaves to mourn her children Ruth Fenton (Raymond – deceased), Randy Hussey (Yvonne), Carol Hussey (Jim), Stan Hussey (Dianne), Lisa Piercey (Ralph), and Neil Hussey (Dianne), as well as her cherished grandchildren Dustin, Brandy, Stacey, Lindsey, Suzanne, Heather, Shawn, Kyle, and Shane, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Olive’s life, a life well lived, will take place in 2025. Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Miller Centre for their compassion and care of our mother in her last days. Our heart-felt thanks also to the staff at the Karwood Retirement Retreat in Paradise where Mom lived for the past 9 years for all their kindness and care of Mom over those years, as well as to her many friends there. She was grateful to and for you all.

  1. I was devastated to hear of Olives passing. She was a beautiful lady and well loved. I was very proud to have known her and be a part of her life. She loved a good dance, card game and we shared a good many cups tea with lovely stories of her life.
    God Bless you Olive and RIP.

  6. I am saddened to hear of Aunt Olive’s passing. She was such a beautiful and kind woman. I would love seeing her . She shared many stories about my family in Whitbourne even remembering the births of my older siblings which were joyous to hear. I will always remember her with love.

  7. Very sorry to hear of Olive’s passing. I met her on a number of occasions with my mother.She was a lovely lady.I knew her husband Robbie very well as they were our next door neighbors in Markland for many years. My deepest condolences.
