Mom was the heart and soul of our family; she loved deeply, smiled often and welcomed all. Mom was an avid cook, quilter, card player and gardener. She had the energy of 100 people; she was happiest with a full house and a large pot on the stove. She had a strong faith, loved helping people and volunteered her time freely. Mom will be missed by her family, friends and the Bellevue community.
Our family extends heartfelt gratitude to her caregivers at the Agnes Pratt Home and the Alderwood Retirement Centre where she was respected and treated like family.

Wish I could be there to honour her memory. I remember arriving in Bellevue only to have a meal, regardless the time. Or, being offer a bed, at the expense of waking someone, after a days travel. Aunt Sade was a treasure.
We were so shocked to hear that your beautiful Mother had passed away. Bob and I remember being in Newfoundland, and going to visit your Mom and Dad. They both greeted us with open arms, and treated us like we were family. Ellen your Mother was so sweet, and kind. She never changed from when I first met her in 1970, it was like she always had a glow of warmth surrounding her every time that I saw her throughout the years. She was a very special person.
Our hearts are with you and your family as you go through this very difficult time in your life. Please accept our Condolences.
My deepest condolences to Sadie’s family. Sadie will certainly be missed at Agnes Pratt, she was always so sweet, caring, and so easy to please. Even Monday as weak as she was still smiling, never a cross word no matter how she was feeling. Some residents just really hold an extra place in our hearts and Sadie certainly did. In the three years I worked there I never once heard her complain or get mad and she had pretty severe arthritis that had to cause her so much pain, but she never complained. She will be missed greatly, so sorry for your loss
Ellen, Sean and all the family, we are saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. Hold your memories close for she is always in your heart. Losing a parent is never easy and it is even harder when it is the heart of a home called Mom. May she Rest In Peace.
