GOSSE, Chesley Malcom. On Thursday, May 3, 2018, Chesley Gosse of Whitbourne passed away after a brief illness at Carbonear Hospital at the age of 89 years. Born on October 25, 1928, he was the oldest of twelve children of John and Beatrice Gosse. Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret (Stevenson) in 1968; parents John & Beatrice Gosse; brothers Frank, Edward, John & Sidney; sisters Bertie (Eddie), Elsie (Ted) & Thelma; parents-in-law George & Susie Stevenson; brothers in law Ronald Stevenson & George Robbins. Chesley enjoyed a lifetime of work starting with the Newfoundland Railway in his early years and later as a Provincial Government employee in the Public Works Department as well as in the sawmill industry. In his “leisure” time, he enjoyed building lawn furniture & garbage boxes, hunting, trouting and in later years a great game of poker, especially with his grandchildren.
