Breta Collins

Breta Collins (Nov 01, 1931 – July 01, 2016) It is with sadness that the family of the late Breta Collins (nee Collett) of Fair Haven, NL, age 84, announces her peaceful passing , on Friday July 01, 2016 from The Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia , NL.

On April 03, 1951 she married her partner for life, Clayton Collins also of Famish Cove. They built a little home in “The Bottom” where they raised a family of three boys and one girl and resided together for nearly 65 years until illness took her away to hospital on February 4th, 2016.

Breta enjoyed a long life as a faithful wife and devoted mother. In 1972 she assumed the position as Post Mistress at Fair Haven a job which she held for 25 years until her retirement in 1997. She loved to carry on and brought laughter and cheer to the faces and hearts of many. Her ability to worry was also one of her outstanding traits. If you could name it she could find a reason to worry about it.
