It is with great sadness and broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Elizabeth Ann Young (McCarthy), Saturday Jan. 4, 2025 at Carbonear Hospital.
Liz will be remembered for her kindness, humor and the love for her children, grandchildren, family and many lifelong friendships.
Leaving to mourn her partner Craig Piercey, their cherished Pomeranian Peggy, her beloved children that were the center of her world whom she loved deeply Michael (Doreen), Betsy (Steve), Sean (Malissa), Jamie (Jaime), Grandchildren Brad, Mackenzie, Kalie, Jamie, Emilie, Alicia, Shayden, Braydyn and Mae.
She was the eldest of 7 children leaving behind Leo (Barb)Tom (Helen), Cec (Molly) Pete (Joce)
Dan (Val) and her only sister Josephine.
Born October 20, 1945 in Bellevue, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Bridget McCarthy (Pretty)
She will be sadly missed by her special friend of many years Peggy Hoskins, a large circle of close friends,
Nieces and Nephews.

I’m so happy I got to see and talk with you on facetime just after Christmas 🎄 💓 you were such a joy to be around I can still hear you laughing,we had alot of good laughs we are gonna miss you and you won’t be forgotten love you.

Liz was a beautiful kind hearted woman who always thought of others..she was always there to make you laugh & to comfort you with a hug when needed.
I will always remember her quick wit and the way she made me laugh with her great sense of humor.
