Harriet Ann Rees (nee Gosse ) RN

Harriet will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 50 years, Lester; children, Lester (Treena), Lisa (Giles) and Gayle (David); grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher, Haley and Karla; step grandchildren Bradley, Andrew and Matthew; brother Robert (Anne) Gosse; sister-in-laws Gloria Gosse and Dolores (Robert) Barrett; brother-in-laws Irwin (Marilyn) Rees and Edgar Hamilton as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Harriet was predeceased by her parents, Cyril and Hattie Gosse; sisters Florence and Alice; brothers, Cyril, Raymond, David and Gordon; parents-in-law Harrison and Edith Rees; brother-in-law Aubrey Rees.

Harriet will be missed by her long time nursing and medical team friends, quilting friends, and members of St John the Baptist Anglican Church. Special thank you to the General Hospital School of Nursing class of 74 with whom she recently celebrated their 50th reunion, Dr Slaney, Dr Ryan and the oncology team at the cancer clinic, Whitbourne public health as well as Greg Banfield, Pallative Care Consultant and Kim Sobtchouk, Community Health Nurse for their steadfast support in her final months.

Visitation at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne, on Wednesday January 22 from 7:00 to 9:00pm; Thursday Jan 23 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 7:00-9:00 pm; Friday January 24 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Funeral Service to take place on Friday January 24 at 2:00 pm from St. John the Baptist Church, Whitbourne. Internment will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Harriet’s memory to the St. John the Baptist Anglican Church Cemetery Fund Whitbourne.
