Arlene Jean Thorne (Mowatt)

Passed peacefully away on March 29th 2018 at Placentia Hospital, Arlene Jean Thorne ( Mowatt) age 81 years of Thornlea. Predeceased by parents James and Edna Mowatt. Brothers Billy and Edward. Sister Lena Donahue. Son James Thorne. Daughter in law Deborah Thorne.

 

Leaving to mourn husband of 60 years Fred Thorne Sr. Son Fred Thorne Jr (Eliz). Granddaughters Justine, Holly and Abby. Grandson Travis. Sister Isabella King(Ont). Brother in law Tom Donahue (Ont). Nephews Doug King (Geraldine). Tommi  Donahoe  (Nanci). Nieces Barb(Frank Bigl) (Alb) and family. Lily Thorne (Thornlea) and family. Christine Donahoe (Ont). Great nieces Katlyn and Megan King (Ont). Also many other relatives and friends.

 

Special thanks to the nurses at Placentia Hospital for the care they provided also the staff at BeachSide Manor Placentia. Cremation has taken place . Visitation Monday 1 pm-4 pm. Funeral service Tuesday April  3rd at 11:30 am at Holloway’s Funeral Home Whitbourne. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to a charity of ones choice. Lovingly remembered, forever missed.

Elizabeth (Betty) Piercey (nee Phillips)

Passed away peacefully at the St. John’s Health Science Centre on March 23rd, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth from Whitbourne, was in her 58th year. predeceased by her father George. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her mother Sylvia and step father George, siblings Frances (Harold), George (Angela), Ron (Mary), Judy (Damian), Edgar, Ada (Nick); children Angelena (Robert), Bradley (Christine); grandchildren Christine, Kimberly, Cassie-Jada, Anita and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation on Monday, March 26th from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm (cremation has taken place).
Communion Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 27th at 2 pm at Church of St. Alphonsus, Whitbourne. Interment to follow at St Alphonsus Cemetery, Whitbourne.
Flowers accepted or a donation in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

KEATING,  Anastasia (nee Kelly), August 28, 1917- March 23, 2018. Passed peacefully away at home surrounded by her loving family, our darling mother,
Anastasia Keating, in her 101st year, of Mt. Arlington Heights, Placentia Bay.  Predeceased  by her husband Francis, parents Peter and Jane Kelly, daughter-in-law Dale, brothers and sisters: Peter (Louise), Maurice, Patrick (Alice), Robert, Madeline (Jack Walsh), Ethel (Phonse Duke), Jane (Bill Murray), Mary (Jimmy Gosse), Mike (Anna) Murray and brother-in-law Steve Hurley. Left with precious memories are her sons and daughters:  Peter, Eugene (Gertie), Joseph (Cathy), Frank, Michael (Barb), Bob (Muriel), Rick (Noreen), Alice, Jane (Brendan King), 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, sister Jean Hurley, sisters-inlaw: Carmella Kelly, Doll kelly, and a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Church of St. Francis Xavier, Long  Harbour. Visitation hours: Sunday, March 25, 2018, 2 – 4 and 6 – 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Church of St. Francis Xavier, Long Harbour at 11:00 am Monday, March 26, 2018 to be followed by interment at Roman Catholic Cemetery, Long Harbour. PIKE, Ramona Alma Elizabeth, Passed peacefully away at the Lion’s Manor, Placentia on March 22, 2018 Ramona Alma Elizabeth Pike surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by husband Clayton Pike, infant son Ricky, parents Jacob and Daphne Cumby, in-laws Norman and Sadie Pike, brother and sisters-in-law,  Aubrey Pike
( Frances),  Doris Mahle (Henry), Ray Pike( Fronnie), Cecil Pike,  Joe Pike (Josephine), Hilda Hillier (Bob), and  Gilbert Higdon. 
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, daughters; Juanita (Roger) Reid, Carol (Kelvin) Pitcher, Marsha (Ron) Dawe, Susan (Sam) Thornhill,  Renee Pike (Marc). Sisters; Beulah Cooper, Joan (Stewart) Pitcher. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Ada Higdon, Winston and Carol Pike, Doug and Lorraine Pike, Francis and Don Button, Ruby and Clyde Williams, Blanche Pike.
Grandchildren; Shannon (Mark ), Shane (Nicole, Chad (Nicole), Tyler, Daniel, Luke, Liam, Hunter, Jake. Step grand-daughter Stacey. Great grand-children, cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation on Friday 3:00 – 5:00  and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Saturday 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A service of celebration and thanks giving for her life will be held at the Trinity Bay South Salvation Army Corp, Dildo on Sunday, March 25 at 3:00 pm.
Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blaketown.
