It is with heavy hearts, we announce that Kenneth Elwood Temple passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on Saturday, May 5, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Predeceased by parents; Jacob & Gladys Temple and sister Marlene. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted wife Susan, sons; Glen (Tracey ), Justin ( Janice ). 4 so treasured & loved grandchildren; Ethan, Bella, Jack, Nora. Brothers; Art (Vera), Dave, Wallace (Betty), Barry (Samantha). sisters; Joan (Austin), Louise (Robert), Geraldine (Willie) . Many brothers and sisters-in-law that loved him. Also a large circle of family and friends. Thank you to Dr. Squibb & nurses at Newhook’s Clinic, Whitbourne. A special thank you to Dr. Siddiqui who gave Ken such special care during his long term battle with Cancer, also to the nurses at the Chemo Unit for all their wonderful care, especially Joyce, we thank you for all you do and for all you have done. Chesley Malcom Gosse
Born on October 25, 1928, he was the oldest of twelve children of John and Beatrice Gosse.
Predeceased by his loving wife Margaret (Stevenson) in 1968; parents John & Beatrice Gosse; brothers Frank, Edward, John & Sidney; sisters Bertie (Eddie), Elsie (Ted) & Thelma; parents-in-law George & Susie Stevenson; brothers in law Ronald Stevenson & George Robbins.
Chesley enjoyed a lifetime of work starting with the Newfoundland Railway in his early years and later as a Provincial Government employee in the Public Works Department as well as in the sawmill industry. In his “leisure” time, he enjoyed building lawn furniture & garbage boxes, hunting, trouting and in later years a great game of poker, especially with his grandchildren.
Leaving to mourn his daughter Judy (Wilfred deceased); sons Rod (Lil) and Jim (Juanita); grandchildren Melissa (Greg), Kelly (Don), Katie (Logan), Daniel, Christopher and Tyler (Erin); great grandchildren Emma, Alex and Abigail; brother Edgar (Verna); sisters Ivy; Margaret (Bob) & Linda; sisters-in-law Martha, Mary, Phyllis (Ike) & Liz; brother-in-law Denny; many nieces & nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Resting at Holloways Funeral Home, Cabot Avenue, Whitbourne. Visitation starts at 2 pm to 9 pm (Sat.), 10 am 12 pm & 2 pm to 9pm (Sun.) & 10 am to 12 pm (Mon.). Funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018, at 2 pm at the Anglican Church, Whitbourne. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations graciously accepted to the Anglican Cemetery Fund.

SMITH, Sarah Fronie. October 7, 1943 – May 2, 2018. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and a friend to all who knew her. Sarah passed away on May 2, 2018. She is predeceased by he parents Elijah and Myrtle, sons Derrick and Scott.
She leaves behind her husband and soul mate Raymond, children;Vernon, Karen (Dwayne), Sherry (Keith), Gloria (Scott), Tammy (Ian), sister Eileen (Don), brothers; Harrison (Fronie), Charlie (Marcie); 10 grandchildren; Trina, Debbie, Kayla, Crystal, Heidi, Natasha, Jonathan, Alyssa, Amanda, Justin. 6 great-grandchildren. Also a circle of other relatives and friends.
Resting at the Church of the Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Norman’s Cove. Visitation; Friday & Saturday 10:00 am – 12:00 noon, 2:00 – 4:00 pm, 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
