Martin, Jayme (1983 – 2024) – Passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.
Pre-deceased by Grandparents Andrew & Sarah Power, Peter & Annie King, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Left with fond and cherished memories are her husband Tracy, daughter Lilah who was the light of her life. Parents Jim & Eileen King, Parents in law Wilfred & Mildred Martin. Sisters Andrea (Brian), Lori (Robin), Paulette (Mich), Brothers in law Trent (Judy) and Toby (Shelley) Nephews Eric, Luke, Kobe, Cody, Jacob, & Zachary. Nieces Sydney, Katie, Emily, & Sarah.
Visitation to take place on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Barrett’s Funeral Home, Commonwealth Ave, Mount Pearl from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass to be held at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 3:00 pm.
Inurnment to follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Long Harbour Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
Thank you to all the staff at Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, as well as the staff at the Health Sciences Centre 4th North A, including Dr. Al-Asaaed, Dr. Laing, Dr. Larsen, and Dr. Jones; Sherry and the pharmacy staff at Sobey’s on Kelsey Drive. All of you played an important role as Jayme battled her illness.
Special thanks to Aunt Louise and special cousin/friend Kendra for their continued support during her illness.
Jayme’s smile and loving nature captured the hearts of all who knew her. She will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Her strength, courage, and resiliency will live on through her precious daughter Lilah.
