Deborah (Debbie ) Lee Smith

May 3, 1979 – September 13, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, niece and friend. Deborah (Debbie) Lee Smith of Norman’s Cove passed suddenly and unexpectedly on September 13, 2024 at the age of 45 years.

Debbie is predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Ronald Drover and Greta Drover; paternal grandparents, Cyril Smith and Evelyn Smith; father, Wallace Smith; son, Caleb Smith; and brother-in-law, Jody Mason. Leaving to mourn with broken hearts are her loving mother, Ada Smith; sisters, Karen Smith (Stan) and Cavell Smith-Mason (Dean); children, Kesha Smith and Brandon Smith; niece, Janelle Smith-Tulloch; special friend, Brian Reid; a large circle of aunts, uncles and cousins; and a small circle of treasured friends.

Debbie’s children were her pride and joy, and she loved nothing more than to spend time with them. While she struggled with her physical and mental health these last few years, Debbie had a heart of gold. Those who knew her, knew that she was a kind, caring soul and she would do anything she could to help others.

We would like to say a special thank you to all of the first responders that came so quickly and did everything they could to help. Their efforts and kindness have immeasurable appreciation. We also want to thank Gary and Ruby with Holloway’s Funeral Home for their compassion and their help at such a difficult time. Thanks as well to the many friends and family that have been by our side these last few days, and helped in every way possible.

Debbie will be resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, 33 A Cabot Avenue , Whitbourne with visitation on Friday, September 20th from 2pm – 4pm and 7pm – 9pm. Funeral service will be held at Holloway’s Funeral Home on Saturday, September 21st at 2pm. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment to follow at the The Good Shepherd Anglican Cemetery in Norman’s Cove.
