Deborah ( Debbie) Thorne

THORNE, Deborah ( Debbie), Passed peacefully away on August 30, 2018 at the age of 59, surrounded by her loving family and devoted husband of 42 years, Calvin. Predeceased by parents George & Genevieve White, parents in law Cecil & Emily Thorne and her grandson Nathaniel. Left with fond and loving memories are her devoted husband Calvin Thorne, children; Tonya (Douglas) Somerton, Keith (April) Thorne, Justin (Krista) Thorne and grandchildren Tamera, Kaitlyn, Racheal, Isabella, great grandson Tai and her best friend Jean Smith. Also left with loving memories are those she considered family, Donnie Hutchings (Elaine) and Jessica Mason (Iyla, Avery). Siblings; Wilfred (Irene), Barb (Harry), Terry (Jean) and Dean (Nancy), as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Resting at Holloways Funeral Home, Whitbourne, on Saturday September 1 from 3-9pm and Sunday September 2 10am-9pm. Funeral service will be held from Trinity South Salvation Army Corp on Monday, September 3 at 11am.

  2. Calvin and family, you chose a beautiful bride ,you and DEBBIE made a lovely family and life together for many years ,I think you where truly blessed. Life will be different for you but with family and friends you will be ok.. Jim and I are very sad for you and us as well .I will miss talking to Debbie in the wee hours of the morning on facebook we always had a good chuckle together. You know we care brother and will always be here for a chat many miles away.. love and prayers from family that share the love you had for your wife ..

We shouldn’t mourn Debs life,we should celebrate it,I’m sure that’s that’s the way she would want it…Bob and I are certainly going to miss her….She’s in Heaven now with all are family and friends who have passed on and You could hear them cheering and shouting ”Here comes another good Marklander,now we can finally have,a good game of cards and darts”…That’s how Deb was,and that’s the way I shall remember her…Love you Deb…We’ll all be together some day…Enjoy your wings my Friend xoxo

    Your sadness is shared by all who knew this wonderful lady. So many happy memories and funny stories from when the three of you were in cadets. There wasn’t a ticket she couldn’t sell, or a cold plate she couldn’t cut out. Debbie was someone everyone could count on, lean on, talk to and so very easy to laugh with.
