Steven Scott Whelan

With broken heart’s we say goodbye to a gentle loving soul, (Steven) Scott Whelan, Scottie loved the outdoors, loved to fish and was comically

know as the trout whisperer. Above all. he loved his girls. He loved his family, close friends and was loved by those that knew him, he will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by sister Joanna Cluett ( August 9, 2019 ).

Left to mourn his loving parents, Bill & Hilda Whelan. His children, Kaitlyn  Whelan, Kara lyne Whelan. Nieces Kori Holland (Matt) great nieces Rebecca & Kaylie,

nieces Jodi Cook, and Kelsey Cluett. Sister Fanny Wilkins (Frank), nephew’s  Stephen Wilkins (Angela), ( great  nephew Ezra Wilkins ), Daniel Wilkins,& Benjamin Wilkins,

He’s loving girlfriend Keesha Temple.  Penni Whelan. Sister-in-law Trish Piche (Jeff). nephew Kyle and niece Kristen. A wide range of aunt’s & Uncle’s, & cousin’s Whelan’s, Reid’s

and Phillip’s. Many community friends & co-workers, IBEW, Whitbourne Fire Department.  Rest In Peace. Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home. Visitation Wednesday 10:00 – 12:00 noon Family.

12:00 – 2:00 Whitbourne Fire Members. 2:00  – 4:00 pm  Public. 7:00 – 9:00 pm Public. Thursday 10:00 – 12:00  Public. 12:00 Closing Prayer’ Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 29,

at 2:00 from St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Whitbourne.

  8. Scott was a very good friend of my. Although I’ve been away for many years. I remember when Scott came to whitbourne from Ontario he was the first guy we ever seen riding a skate board and boy were the whitbourne boys impressed. We welcomed Scott with open arms and we were all best buds ever since. Rest easy my old friend fly with the angels. No more pain Scottie….

  10. Scott was a great person to work with. Funny, meticulous and knew his stuff. I still tell stories about him using the hole punch on a steel stud like it was a sheet of paper. He had a positive impact on so many that he worked with.

  11. I only had the opportunity to meet Scott once for what I can tell he was a good guy. I send my deepest condolences to Mr and Mrs Whalen and the rest of the family. Hope the lord gives you the strength to get though these tough days and may you cherish the precious memories that you have.

  13. We worked side by side for almost a year and a half. You were one of the best mentors I’ve ever had. Coming into my first union job, and first big job you made sure to teach me the ropes and stayed patient in the learning process. We had more laughs than I can count. Work isn’t always enjoyable, but working with you made it tolerable. Bad days became good days when you made sure to do everything in your power to cheer everyone else up. I can honestly say we built one of the best friendships I’ve ever had, on or off the job site. You’re a top notch guy. Rest easy Scott (pops), you will definitely be missed. My condolences to all family and friends.
