Theresa Jarvis

Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, June 14, 2024,Theresa Jarvis of Fair Haven, aged 103 years. 

 

She is predeceased by her husband John, sons Herbert and Clarence, daughter Florence, son in law Bill, daughter in law Edna, sister Ethel and step brother Cecil.

 

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories are her children, Wally(Phyllis), Ethel, Jessie (Tom), Gordon (Doris), Norman (Frances), Hilda (Terry), Carol (Doug), 23 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and special friend Gertie Jarvis.

 

We would like to thank the staff of the 6th floor and Emergency Department of the Carbonear General Hospital for their exceptional care in her final days. We would like to express a heartfelt thank you to her homecare worker of 6 ½ years, Rona Reid, for her outstanding care and compassion to mom.  Also, her former homecare worker, Beatrice Reid, for her excellent care of mom. 

 

Visitation will take place on Monday, June 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 at St. Paul’s By the Sea, United Church, Fair Haven. A celebration of Theresa’s life will take place on Tuesday, June 18 at 2:00 pm from St. Paul’s By the Sea, United Church, Fair Haven. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Fair Haven.

    Your Mom lived to a great age and in good health however, no matter the age, it’s never easy saying goodbye. Treasure your wonderful memories, we’re sure you have many. Thinking of you all as you say your final farewell to your beloved Mom.
