What a Wonderful World – Louis Armstrong

[Verse 1]
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom, for me and you

And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

[Verse 2]
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed days, the dark sacred nights

And I think to myself
What a wonderful world

[Bridge]
The colors of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky

Are also on the faces
Of people going by

I see friends shaking hands, saying, “How do you do?”
They’re really saying, “I love you”

[Verse 3]
I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more
Than I’ll ever know

And I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world

William Robert Harnum

HARNUM, William Robert  It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved family member, Robert Harnum, who passed away at his residence at the age of 78. Predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Nora Harnum and his beloved sister, Elizabeth (Betty) Williams. Left with cherished memories are his two nieces, Janice (Justin) Temple and Sharon (Cory) Coffin, brother-in-law, Wilfred Williams, as well as his two special great nieces, Nora and Kennedy, whom were his pride and joy and loved their “Uncle Bob.” Also left with cherished memories are a circle of other close friends and extended family.

Robert enjoyed and valued the simple pleasures life had to offer. Whether he was taking his special pup, Shadow (who he surely picked up at the Rainbow Bridge on his way home to Heaven) for an ice cream, taking his family to the Trinity Conception Bay Square for a run, enjoying a trip out in boat, or enjoying a visit and a BBQ with his family he embraced all these simple, precious moments. Robert dedicated his heart to his family and his home and chose to remain living in his family home the duration of his life until his final hours.

While our hearts grieve this profound loss we honor and cherish the memories that will continue to flourish in the hearts of those who had the privilege to receive the special gifts of love he unconditionally offered. His legacy will always be a testament of the love he unwavering provided. Robert was a private, simplistic man with a heart of gold who loved his family beyond measure. He was a man who did not travel far yet reached so many & taught us the most valuable lesson- that the only true currency in life of fundamental and eternal value is love & that the “little things” truly are the “big things.” We thank you Robert for all the “little”, “big” things. They are priceless and have blessed our hearts with a little more gold.

Cremation has taken place. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 and public health restrictions, celebration of life will take place at the Anglican Church, Dildo on Saturday, May 15, 2021 by invitation only.

“There is only one happiness in this life- to love and be loved.” While your life here on earth has ended the love you shared will always remain. Thank you for the gift of your love. We will treasure it always.
