Beulah Rebecca Newhook (nee Pretty) passed away at the Health Sciences Centre on October the 25th 2019, surrounded by her family.
It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to our beautiful Mom.
Beulah was predeceased by her beloved husband Garfield, sister Velma and her three brothers Rex, Gerald, and Ted.
Mom always had a beautiful smile that would light up the darkest room, and her love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was beyond measure. She always loved company, a game of crazy eights and relentlessly searched for corky in The Downhomer.
Mom loved her visits with her lifelong friend Gladys Newhook, and their many, many phone conversations were filled with laughter.
Mom was also blessed with another very special person in her life; Floss Newhook was like another daughter, and we cannot thank you enough for the many sleepovers, cooked dinners, delicious muffins and chats you would have with her. She loved you.
In recent years, Mom received outstanding care from wonderful caregivers, Joan Warren, Andrea Domine and Lorraine Pinsent. Thank you for your compassion, patience and love you showed for Mom.
Left to mourn with heavy hearts are her six children; Nellie (Bob) Smith, Ford (Kathy Newhook, Velma (Denzil) Warren, Ted (Winnie) Newhook, Cora (Robert) McKenzie, her baby girl Rebecca (Steven) Power, and sisters in law Francis Howell, Mildred Pretty and Edith Pretty.
Mom was blessed with thirteen grandchildren: Gerald, Andrea, Robbie, Nolan, Neil, Cody, Charles, Gary, Rebecca, James, Alexander, Joshua and Cameron, and 16 Great-Grandchildren: Emma, Nathan, Lucas, Nicholas, Amber, Caleb, Emma, Emily, Madison, Devon, Trinity, Braden, Austin, Shelby, Christopher, and Avery.
