Leslie James (Jim) Fowler

Fowler, Leslie James (Jim), 70, of Long Harbour, passed in peace, November 20th, 2018. Predeceased by mother Elizabeth Fowler; Foster parents Uncle Nicky and Aunt Mary Ann; sisters Margie, Lavina and Gloria; Foster siblings Patrick, Katie and Jackie; Brothers-in-law Kevin and Junior and parents-in-law Vincent and Catherine Keating.

Jim’s most cherished part of his life was his family. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 46 years, Marion; Children Nick(Carlene), Chad(Tracy), Christy(John), Jennifer(Brian); His 7 grandchildren who were his pride and joy; Erica, Erin, Emma, Jacob, Issac, Vincent and Carter. Sisters Shirley(Gerald) and Betty(Herb) and brother-in-law Ron. Foster siblings Margaret and sister Jane. After years of searching, he was finally united with sisters Vickie(Cliff) of Fortworth, Texas and Renee of Virgina Beach, Virgina. Also mourning his loss are a large circle of nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation Wednesday, Nov. 21 1:00 – 9:00 pm. Thursday, Nov 22 10:00 am – 12:00 noon. Funeral mass Friday, Nov 23 at 2:00 pm from St. Jerome’s Church, Long Harbour.

  6. My sincere condolences to Marion, Nick, Chad, Christy, and Jennifer. I only met Jim a couple of times but he was certainly a well-liked man. When he spoke of his family you could hear the love in his voice for them. Another angel enters heaven to watch upon us until me meet them again. God Bless

Jim was a wonderful kind and caring man.His family meant everything to him and him to them and his grandchildren were his pride and joy–his eyes shone whenever he saw them.I always enjoyed his stories and his knowledge of world events-we will certainly miss him at the Fowler-Keeping get togethers.Rest easy Jim.God bless each and everyone of the family and hold tight to the precious memories you have.

  12. We are very sorry to hear about Jim’s passing. We just spoke to him at the Halloween dance and had no idea how sick he was, so was shocked to see this. Our condolences to you Marion, and your family.

  19. I have fond memories of Jimmy from my childhood days when I stayed with my grandmother and grandfather in Patrick’s Cove. I remember one summer when Jimmy got his first job and first paycheck he bought me a pair of sneakers ovet at Dick Dalton’s store. May his kind heart rest in peace.
