I offer my deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Dorothy’s family, friends and her breast cancer “sisters” of which I’m one twice over . Each time I hear about the untimely passing of a “sister” I think about my own cancer journey’s and my own mortality. I have been truly blessed beyond measure and am thankful for having met and known Dorothy on the way. Her friendly, quite and gentle demeanor are traits I remember most about her. Her positive attitude, faith, love for her family and friends, her zest for life, love and support of her family and friends, SOS support group, and YES, her struggles, all attributed to her strength that gave her the courage to face the unknown with a strong mind, willpower and determination. She fought a valiant battle and is truly an inspiration and a brave hero. She touched many lives and we are all better for having know her. May your memories, remembered joys, shared friendships, laughter … a hug or kiss … help fill the void left by her parting. God wanted her now. She has been set free. She earned her wings and a peaceful sleep. May her bright light continue to shine. “A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam and for a brief moment it’s glory and beauty belong to our world. But then it flies again and though we wish it could have stayed … we feel lucky to have seen it.” (Author Unknown)
