Denise Ann Newhook (Thorne)

Feb. 12, 1977 – Feb. 12, 2020. Passed peacefully away at her home in Chapel Arm, Denise Ann Newhook on February 12, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Leaving to mourn her death are her husband, Jeffrey, her three adopted children, Matthew and his 2 sisters Julia and Haley, her mother and father Lena and Kevin Thorne,

mother and father in -laws Gloria and George Newhook, sister Pamela (David), brothers Damian (Yvette) and Mark (Trina),  brother in-law Gregory (Kim), sisters in – law

Sharon (Joe) and Sheila. Special niece Allie (Shane), and  her two great nieces Kylee and Mackenzie whom she dearly loved.  Also, a large number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,

cousins and special friends.

Special thanks to Bonnie Gosse, Lori King and Robin Alcock who took  such loving care of her during her illness. We will be forever grateful.

Thanks to her long time employer, Roebothan, McKay & Marshall,  for their never ending support.

We are so grateful to have known this beautiful girl and hope that she is celebrating her birthday with the angels.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Chapel Arm from 2:00 – 5:00 pm.  Funeral mass will be on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 12:00

noon.  Inurnment at a later date.

No flowers by request of the family. Donations may be made in Denise’s memory to her 3 children to be put in trust.

  4. Denise and I were friends from kindergarten to grade 12. A million phone conversations, weekends together and precious memories I will never forget. My heart is broken for her family. May God give you all the strength to get through this very difficult time. She will never ever be forgotten.

    Lena, both you and Ann were my best buddies in the summertime and favourite cousins. We didn’t have much contact after I left the province so I didn’t get the opportunity to meet Denise. I am sure that she was a wonderful mother and daughter. She looks like you in the photo.
    I can only imagine what you and Kevin are going through because there can’t be anything worse then losing a child.
