Passed peacefully away at Whitbourne on June 13, 2021 Mae Dawe (nee Brazil) in her 79th year. Leaving to mourn husband Leonard of 59 years, son Leonard (Renee) daughter Angela (Darrin) grandchildren Allan (Monique), Leanne (Zachary), Brian. Siblings Reg (Glenys), Sadie (Chesley), Mary (Chesley), Ruby and Reid. A large number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Cousin Harry and Connie and special niece Cynthia. Special friends Rose Scoville, Cecilia Turner. Very special thanks to Aunt Ruby and Connie for all their help and support over the years and throughout Mom’s illness.
Services will be held at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church and the Salvation Army Cemetery in Whitbourne at 2pm on Wednesday June 30. Because of Covid restrictions,If you would like to attend the church service you must preregister by calling 709-759-3020.
Show your love by wearing something purple, Mom’s favorite color, or remembering her love of butterflies and squirrels.

Mae was a trooper and a very dear friend. I will miss our cups of teas many times a day with her. Yea will never taste the same. All the seagulls crows little birds and squirrels will miss you as well.

I was very lucky to meet Mae last year and had many great visits at her home with Leonard and Connie. She always made me feel so welcome being new to the country. Mae made me laugh and smile. I miss you and am sure that you are keeping everyone on their and much laughter to be had up there. Rip beautiful lady.

On behalf of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church and ACW I would like to express our Deepest Sympathy to Leonard on the passing of his wife Mae. Mae attended Church faithfully when she was able to do so and a very much a Sister of our ACW. She was always ready and did so doing her part in all activities involved with ACW whether it was a lunch after a meeting or a lunch for the family of a departed member of the community. She was loved by many and will be missed. God Bless you Mae and May you Rest In Peace and Rise in Glory.
