I send my deepest and most heartfelt condolences during this, the most difficult of times. To each and all of the family, I am so very sorry.
To Otto’s family and siblings.
We are saddened to hear of Otto’s passing. Growing up in Chapel Arm was a wonderful experience made better by people like Otto. He was many things to many people. To me he was a gifted storyteller….I don’t know if all the stories were true but I always enjoyed them! He was an entrepreneur in the broadest sense from motorcycle modifications to configuring his boat engine to run on Kentucky Fried Chicken waste oil. Being a little younger I always marvelled at his many projects which nearly always were successful. On the intellectual side he could give Paddy Daly a run for his money any day of the week. These for me were good memories and I could benefit from many friends like Otto.
To Valerie, his children and siblings we trust that the greater abundance of memories like these will support you through the difficult times ahead.

We met Otto in a spectacular thunderstorm in Henley Harbor many years ago now. We huddled in a bait shack and watched the storm unfold. And that was the beginning of a friendship we treasure to this day. Otto has regaled us with stories, taught us the best songs, and always made us laugh. He loved words and taught us many. When we asked him what a quintile was his eyes lit up and said now there’s a beautiful word—and the stories began! He will be missed, but the joy he brought to all of us is never ending. Thank you Otto for being our friend.
Sending our condolences to the family.
Our deepest sympathies to the family
