Randolph Wayne Higdon

Mr. Randolph Wayne Higdon of Blaketown passed peacefully away on
Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 at Carbonear General Hospital after a
long hard fought battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.

He leaves to mourn his loving family:

Minnie Higdon his loving devoted wife of 46 years.

Children: Chasity (Craig) Mercer
Shawn (Stacy) Higdon

Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Blake, Nathan, Brandon, Riley and Jaxson

Siblings: Edna (Richard) Perosino
Denny (Marg) Higdon
Robert (Wanda) Higdon
Christine (Chris) Rice
Lisa (Nikolay) Somov

A large number of extended family nieces, nephews and in-laws.

Also a large circle of close friends who cared deeply and always there
for one another.

His loving companion who didn’t leave his side and enjoyed every quad
ride to  the cabin or just cutting wood ‘Sarge’ (Dog) and Jimmy(Cat).

Father and Mother In-Law: Wilfred and Beatrice Gosse

*Cremation will not take place  until after the service.

In Lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy donations  may  be made to the
Randolph Higdon Memorial Fund. Email transfers can be sent to

immediate family member. Please include a note stating what and whom
the donation is coming from.*

At this time we as a family would like to extend our sincere thank
you and appreciation to all who have visited Randy and Minnie over
the past 2 years to show us your love and dedication throughout this
difficult time.

During these exceptionally difficult times, visitations are as follows:

Friday, January 21st, 2022 from 3pm-5pm
Friday, January 21st, 2022 from 7pm-9pm

Vax Pass and contact information will need to be presented upon entry
of the funeral home.

  3. So sorry for your loss. I remember visiting Uncle Charles and Aunt Flo with my parents Clarence and Pearl, when we were children , so I remember meeting Randy but I wasn’t very old.
    It is so sad to loose someone at this age, but I am sure you have wonderful memories that will get you through this.

  7. Many memories flood my mind of Randy from when I spent many hours at your home as a child. Please accept my sincere condolences on his passing. Surely he will be missed most by those who loved him most… and he was loved much by many.

  9. Minnie, I know I always speak of the time so many years ago when you and Randy babysat us as kids. You were both on sitting in the recliner. You on Randy’s lap. Both of you trying to steal a few innocent kisses while Roger and I peeked around corners being little torments. The image of both of you sitting there like that is forever etched in my heart. Just two teenagers in love ❤❤.. I wish you had had a hundred more years together…My heart is hurting for you, Chasity and Shawn and the entire family. Love, Patricia XO
