Norman Absalom Snow

 

Norman Absalom Snow, 1943 – 2022. Passed peacefully away after a lengthy illness at Carbonear Hospital, with his beloved wife, Elaine, by his side on August 10, 2022, Norman Absalom Snow aged 79 years.                                                  Norman, affectionately known as “Norm” retired from Canada Post in 2012. He was a mail carrier and a member of the United Church of Canada.

Predeceased by his mom and dad, Fannie and Absalom Snow; his brothers William (Gloria) and Leonard; sister Mary (Lloyd Snow); his parents-in-law, Basil and Eliza Clarke.

Leaving to mourn and to celebrate his life are his loving wife, Elaine, daughter, Rebecca (Kevin); his pride and joy his beloved grandchildren, Donovan, Desmond, Diamond & Winter; brother, Alton (Betty) and sister-in- law, Blanche, many nephews & nieces and his sisters-in-law. Marilyn, Cynthia and Barbara and families.

Special thank-you to the staff at Carbonear Hospital, his church family members who gave our family much love and support.  Their caring ways are very much appreciated.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne on Friday, August 12, 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm.

A service to celebrate Norman’s life will be held on Saturday August 13th at 2:00 pm from Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne.  The family kindly requests that masks be worn for both the visitation and the service.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Norman’s memory may be made to the family.

  1. Elaine, Rebecca and family so very sorry to hear Norm had passed please except our most sincere condolences. He drove his mail truck in many storms (The Mail Must Go Through) I remember Norm and Elaine working very hard to keep our mail moving. Thank You for all you did over and above of what was expected of a mail delivery driver. May he RIP

  3. Aunt Elaine and Beck, I am so sorry about Uncle Norm. He was a wonderful, loving, caring man. I was truly honored to have this wonderful man in my life. My thoughts and prayers are always with you. I will love him always
