  1. Shocked and saddened to hear of Alex passing, I (Annette) had the pleasure of working with him for a few years and he was always the one way with a big smile! Thinking about you all during your time of sorrow. We are away but will keep you in our thoughts.

  2. I wish to extend my condolences on the passing of Uncle Alex to Aunt Meleta, Michelle, Renee, and the rest of the Brace, Smith, and Soper families. Uncle Alex lived a life that was an example for all to follow. In my 54 years plus on this earth, I heard all good about Uncle Alex. His former coworkers talked about his pleasant demeanour, positive work ethic, and professionalism. As a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, etc he illustrated love and care that was evident in his actions and presence. He touched many lives with his his calm, caring disposition through his kindness and help he provided. I remember as a child when the Brace family lived next door to my family in Botwood. Uncle Alex was always receptive to my visits as a young boy. He had a great wit and could utilize humour quite well when the situation warranted. Uncle Alex you will be missed.

  3. 100% is one of the most kind hearted men I will ever know. Not many will compare to him. To the man that took the kid next door literally everywhere with them and treated me like their own. I will never forget the memories of camping, hunting in the old black car, quad rides, family visits, the witzer dog, soft and silly, the gentle nature and overall huge heartof gold. Alex was like a father to me. You are and will be always dearly missed 💔😢
