Aaron was an active member of the community in his younger years. He was a member of the Fire Department, Lion’s Club and the Good Shephard Anglican Church Vestry.

He loved trouting, Tim Horton’s coffee outings with his brothers, and cars, new and old. He loved horses and telling his family all about growing up with them.

Aaron was a proud man. His parents and siblings were no doubt among the people he was most proud of. He was always excited to show off the latest sweet treats his sister, Murley and niece, Carolyn had given him.

Of all the things he was proud of, his greatest treasures were his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. There could never be a grandfather who loved his family more than Poppy Mercer did. He will be missed every day and remembered with so much love.

“Although he is gone, we will always be together and his spirit will live on, in each of us forever.”

“Grandpa, everything is changing fast, we call it progress, but I just don’t know And grandpa, let’s wander back into the past, then paint me the picture of long ago.”
