Our sincere sympathy to all your family.
My name is Brenda. For those who don’t me, I am Herbert’s daughter. Funny thing is, that I didn’t even know he was my real father until much later in life. From the first time I contacted dad, he and rowena accepted me with open arms, and have shown me nothing but love and compassion. Dad had a great sense of humor, and a quick whit for cracking jokes. Dad loved his family friends and neighbors, and he loved to go fishing. Despite the distance between us, and periods of time between visits, dads dementia didn’t stop him from remembering who I was. He enjoyed getting out of the nursing home, and sharing a meal together at various restaurants. He loved going for drives to look at the boats and the landscape. I really enjoyed these drives too. In between visits we would talk on the phone, even if it was just a brief conversation. I loved to hear his voice. I was so looking forward to moving back to nfld to spend more time with him, but the Lord had different plans.i love my father, and I know he loved me too. Rest in peace Dad, till we meet again, love Brenda. ❤️
In childhood I was a friend of Junior. In more recent times Kathleen and I were friends of both Junior and you Rowena.. We are sorry for your loss and want you to know that if there is anyone who causes you a problem after his passing, please let us know.
I grew up living next door to Junior. We went cod fishing many times in a Rodney, probably wrong spelling, and in his father’s motor boat.
We also shared a room in aunt Martha’s boarding house in Toronto in the early 70s.
He was always a very hard working man and his labour was always in demand.
Rest in peace Junior💝✔️ and my condolences to all the families.
